QUESTION: the bike cuts off when the rpms are below 2000 rpms and the clutch is pulled in. Yes it won't idle at all. the bike is fuel injected, no choke. No it doesn't sit for an extended period of time, the longest it has ever sat without running was about 2 weeks. it has 20K miles on it, i bought it new, it still has all stock equipment. thanks for your help, if there is anything else i can tell please let me know. I am truly getting frustrated.

Answer
I will be honest, I have not experienced working on one of these and my advise would be to buy the factory service manual, I know its 120000,000 dollars but it will give an accurate view of the system that is your fuel/intake system and pay for itself compared to going to the dealer..... the answer should be able to be derived this way.
I am sorry to not be of more assistance, I just don't know that bike that well.
