Motorcycle Repair: vinyl seat upholstery, yamaha seca ii, interior restorations

Do you know where i can purchase vinyl seat upholstery by the yard to recover my motorcycle seat. I just purchased a 93 yamaha seca ii motorcycle runs great, but the seat is ripped up and i haven't been able to find anywhere that will sell me the seat upholstery so i can redo it myself. The foam is fine just need the upholstery. Hopefully this is an easy question.thanks

An easy question, but not an easy task... reupholstering a motorcycle seat is not a common "do it yourself" kind of task. But any automotive upholstering shop should be able to sell you what you want, although you may have to buy a minimum amount of material. Check with any custom car shops in your area to see if they do automotive interior restorations or if they know anyone who does. Alternately, you can ask at all the local bike shops if they know of anyone who specialises in recovering motorcycle seats.
