Motorcycle Repair: Shovel Oil blow by, rear cylinder, valve job

Question
Just recently bought a 78 shovel. Oil was coming out of the rear pipe, so I put new rings, had a valve job done, and cylinders honed. Put back together and still has the blow by in the rear cylinder coming out of exhaust port in the head into the rear exhaust pipe.
I've been told to check out the breather gear and make sure its timed correctly and to take out the screen and put a ramp in. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Tom

Answer
You can check the timing on the breather gear and see if that is the problem. I wouldnt remove the screen. If that is not the problem then I would check the pistons to make sure the bore is not to big and the valve guides to make sure they were replaced.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
