i took apart my front tire on my 1997 kawasaki 500 and now i need to know how much 2 tighten it.

No idea. You should phone a Kawasaki motorcycle dealer and see if they could answer this or at least direct you to someone who can. You will need a torque wrench to do the job properly, so if you don't have one and/or don't know how to use it you should take it to a repair shop.
