Motorcycle Repair: Rebuliding, auto mechanic, speciality tools

I would like to get into rebuilding old Harley. Where would be a good place to start? I am an amateur auto mechanic. What are some good books to get and where should I start?

One of the things you need to get is a service manual for the year you are looking at. What ever year you are looking at to start, read the manual from cover to cover. It has all the specs and how to of taking things apart and putting them back together. the other thing you are going to need is alot of speciality tools to do the work. There are some tools that you will need that only do one thing.
