Motorcycle Repair: My New pit bike, model bikes, bill silver

Question
I'm not sure what brand this bike is but I just got it and it doesn't start but sounds really good and I took out the spark plug and looked at it and kicked it over and it doesn't spark so do you know what i need to do/replace?

Answer
Benjamin... it doesn't start but "sounds really good"? You are losing me here....

With little knowledge of your make/model, I will take a guess that it is one of the Chinese made clone bikes, resembling a Honda OHC 50 or 70cc engine machine.

Check the simple stuff first...  There is probably a KILL switch on the handlebars that needs to be in the ON position. Ignition switch must be plugged in properly and in the ON position.

Most later model bikes have CDI ignitions, which use a small sensor on the flywheel to trigger the control box that fires the coil to make a spark. Check all the wiring back and forth from the engine to the chassis and the wiring harness.

I have seen more than a few Chinese made bikes that had bad components right out of the box, so start checking for sources on-line, using the make/model and engine type in your search terms. Try this to start with... http://www.extrememotorsales.com/chinesedirtbikeparts.htm
