Motorcycle Repair: Honda QA 50 1973, honda qa 50, bill silver

G'day Bill,
         I have my first motorbike back after it has gone around the family a QA 50 and second gear slips. I know this is a common problem and the once put out a repair kit for them but I was told that the cure was only a bandaid. So I would like to know how to fix it. any Idea's you have would be great.

Dave, I have never worked on one or owned one, but the bulletins in the below link should solve the problem, as far as I know. Honda doesn't do band-aid cures for mechanical problems.
