Motorcycle Repair: Honda QA 50, honda qa 50, compression test

Question
My QA-50 will run but after a minute or so starts puking oil. I believe it indicates bad rings but can I just replace the rings or do I have to move up one oversize?

The procedure procedure for checking the bore and the service limits are in the service manual so I don't have the details on this. But I would do a compression test (dry and wet) and compare the numbers you get to determine if you need to rebuild it.
