Motorcycle Repair: can a 85 600r xl be converted to electric start, solenoid starter, starter solenoid

my 600r xl is there anyway it can be done. im using this bike to get around, and i think using electric would be a bit less of a hassle. could u tell me if its possible and where would i find the right parts for it. thanks. chris.

Chris, check with www.xrsonly.com for further info. I imagine that the changeover to an electric starter would be way more in cost than buying another bike. You would need new battery/battery box/wiring harness, electric starter, solenoid, starter switch and cables/wiring, plus probably a new set of cases, flywheel for starter clutch, etc.
