Motorcycle Repair: 1982 Honda CM 450 Electrical Problem, 1982 honda cm450, honda cm

Question
I picked up a 1982 Honda CM450 Custom a couple of months ago. It's been running well and I've put on @2500 miles with no problem (It has @23K miles total). Last week though, I went to start it up and had no juice. I've replaced the battery and all of the fuses with no luck. The headlights and break lights won't turn on and there's no noise when I press the starter button. I used a multimeter and the battery is fine and there's juice going to the spark plugs and the headlight fuse and taillight fuse. There is not, however, any voltage going to the main fuse (I tried several new fuses with no result). It was previously kept in a garage for @ 10 years and there was alot of cobwebs on the inside. I laid it down 2 weeks before but rode about 500 miles after with no problem. It's my only means of transportation other than the bus and walking so I'm really trying to get it back on its feet. I don't have much experience working on bikes so thanks for any advice you can lend.

Answer
There's no easy answer to this question.  You have to check it out connection by connection until you find the problem.  I'd start at the ignition switch.  I've seen those have bad connections inside occasionally.  The other place to check is the connector to the main fuel block.  If those get hot, they will relax the tension on the connectors.
