i have an 89 zx10 ninja my speed and rpm gauges work but the gas and temp don't can you tell me why

Don't know the specifics on this bike but the speed and rpm are cable linkages to the front wheel and the crankcase, usually.

The gas is driven by a sender unit which sits in the tank. The sender unit may need adjustment. The temp (coolant temp I'm guessing) is not something I have too much knowledge of but you may have a corroded connector.
