Motorcycle Repair: rear brake light, jumper wire, brake switch

Question
Mike I have A 94 Sportster my when I apply the rear brake the light comes on but it is really dim, I have changed the pressure switch then bled the brakes and checked the wires with a meter neither goes to ground and one has power to it. when I use the front brake the light is bright. Any suggestions

Answer
Run a jumper wire from the hot post on the brake switch to the other post. Does the light get bright? If not then you have a short or bad connection from the brake switch to the connection which goes to the brake light
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
