Motorcycle Repair: ct90 turn signals, honda ct90, turn signals

Question
Hi,

I just got a 1969 Honda CT90 (model K1b), an am trying to come up with turn signals for it. The battery is 6 volt, and this model didn't originally come with turn signals.

Could I rig some kind of trailer lights?

Do you think I could re-purpose a set of later handlebars (ie: 1975) that already have front signals incorporated?

Answer
Yea, it's possible to wire in some 6V turn signals.  You'll have to come up with later Honda hardware like you suggested or build your own from scratch.  Just be warned when you use the turn signals, you are draining the battery.  That little alternator didn't put out too much amperage and any additional load will tax that system.  Since it's not a continuous load, it will probably be fine.
