Motorcycle Repair: 2003 CMX250 no power, amp fuses, amp fuse

Question
Just had this REBEL tuned up with new fluids, plugs, battery, and carb cleanout. Ran well for week, actually run for 4 days. On last day, had 3 stops all within a 3 mile radius and at the third stop when I got back on the bike...NO POWER. No lights. Nothing. Checked main fuse (looked good) replaced it with the spare fuse, checked two 10 amp fuses (looked good) replaced wone with a spare fuse. Checked battery, recharged it, altho it had been charged prior to installation a week prior, and had mobile mechanic check electrical circuits as much as he felt comfortable altho he said that elec problems weren't his strength.
Am about to buy mulitimeter to see if I can trace something, I need you to lead me in the right direction. I was going to check ignition switch and cdi.

Help!

David

Answer
David,  You checked the 10 amp fuses, but it sounds like you missed the 20 amp fuse on the starter solenoid.

Go here:

then to the BATTERY SECTION. Follow the POSITIVE battery lead to the starter solenoid and then look at the 20 amp fuse located there.
