Motorcycle Repair: 1976 Honda CJ360T Center Stand, bolts and nuts, cj360t

Question
Hello Rich, I have a 76 honda cj360t and I just purchased a center stand for it off the internet.  It came with the stand, the large bolt for mounting on the frame with a pin, 2 bolts and nuts for the bolts and the spring...  Now other than completely taking off the exhaust is there an easier way to install the center stand? and how/where does the spring get mounted too?  The stand has a knob where one end of the spring goes but have no idea where on the frame the other end gets mounted to.  I have looked at other hondas in the same era and they have a large C looking bracket it gets mounted to...  Am I just missing this item or does it mount to something different?

Thanks in advance for your insight!

Answer
Sorry but the exhaust has to come off of at least one side so you can put the pivot pin in.  There's a knob on the left side of the center stand and that's one anchor point for the spring.  There should also be a loop of something similar on the left side of the frame for the other end of the spring.

Regards,
Rich
