Steering Column Repair: play in steering column, chevy c10, tilt column

Question
I have a 1982 chevy c10 pickup with tilt column. This weekend I rebuilt the column and replaced the housing which was broke from previous attempt at theft, cleaned and regreased all part tightened the 4 bolts which help immensly and tightened column up real nice however  the steering wheel has a slight wobble it had been 20 yrs since i had been in one so im not sure why it still has wobble  but under the spring that goes around the shaft and the cylindar the shaft goes in someone previously it appears put some man made washers under the spring right in front of bearings are these meant to be there or was there one bigger ring that could possible go there to eliminate the side to side up to down wobble. It is minor but it is there and i want it right. thanks for your time

Answer
Hello Charles.  It sounds like someone has replaced the correct parts with some wrong ones.
We have recently uploaded some videos on our company website to give you first hand viewing of how to remove, disassemble, and reassemble the loose tilt column you are talking about. They are broken down into step by step 2-3 minute detailed videos with instructions. Although the videos are for a Chevrolet truck, the column is very similar to yours.
