Motorcycle Repair: Stator Replacement, clutch basket, stator

I HAVE AN 84 1340 EVO ELECTRA GLIDE I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE THE STATOR??,IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S
GOING INTO MY INNER PRIMARY COVER?,I'M A PRETTY GOOD WRENCH
BUT NOT A HARLEY MECHANIC, ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Answer
In order to replace the stator you have to remove the primary cover, motor sprocket, clutch basket and rotor. Behind the rotor you will find the stator. You will need a inpact wrench to remove the motor sprocket nut and a clutch compression tool to remove the clutch.
