Motorcycle Repair: Starving for fuel, yamaha seca 750, sorry dave

Just purchased an 82 Yamaha SECA 750.
It will only run when choked all the way.
Plugs are black. I was going to take the four carbs off (without separating them)and clean them. I saw a comment stating its probably not all four going bad all at once. It sounds great choked. Compression test OK,135-125.

Sorry Dave, but my experience is limited to older Hondas.  Sounds like you need to clean the carbs.  It doesn't matter if one or four need cleaning.  You'll want to check all of them once you have them off the bike unless you just want the practice. ;o)
