Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1955 ply, radiator repair shop, plymouth belvedere

Question
I'm looking for a heater core for my father's 55'Plymouth Belvedere.  Any ideas as to where I find one?

Answer
I have found heater cores for the popular older cars on eBay, but if you don't see any there, you can take the old core in to your local radiator repair shop and have them repair it or re-core it for probably less money than buying a new one.

Recored heater cores are as good as new ones - I have them in many of my cars.

I just did a quick look on eBay, and see one for a 54 Plymouth (might be the same as 55?), but the same seller seems to have a lot of similar items, and has a good feedback number.  You can use the link on his site to contact him to ask about a 55.

Do a search as follows:
http://shop.ebay.com/items/__plymouth-heater-core

You might spot one there.

If none of that works out, contact Andy Birnbaum at

www.oldmoparts.com

He'll have one.
