Motorcycle Repair: 1980 HD Sturgis Clutch Adjustment, clutch adjustment, clutch assembly

I am trying to adjust my cluch assy on my 1980 Sturgis with great difficulty. Is there specific adjustments for the clutch assembly and cable?

Answer
First, put ome slack in the cable by adjusting it shorter. Go tot he clutch and loosen the locknut and turn the adjuster outward. Slowly turn it inward, just until it bottom out and then back about 1/8 of a turn. Now go to the cable and adjust it so you have about 1/8 inch play in the cable and your set
