Motorcycle Repair: oil light, pressure gage, rear cylinder

i have a 2003 road king,  the oil light just came on and the bike started to make noise in the rear cylinder.  changed oil filter and put new oil, rear cylinder still sounds noisy and seems to run ruff now.  sometimes dies.  thanx in advance

If the oil light came on then you either lost oil pressure or the light is bad. Do to the noise you heard I would suppect you lost oil pressure. You might have damaged a piston without oil pressure, so your going to have to pull the top end and chenck it. I would also check the pressure with a pressure gage to see what oil pressure you are running. If its low then you need to pull the oil pump and check it
