Motorcycle Repair: Oil Change, heritage softail, oil tank

I want to start changing the oil in my 1990 heritage softail myself. I was looking for instruction on changing the oil. My bike has 52,000 miles on it, should I continue using regular 20/50 or would it be helpfull to switch to a synthetic

Look under the bike on the right side under the bike, and you will see a line off the oil tank that has a plug in it. That is the oil drain.
You can switch to synthetic. It will make the bike run cooler, but it does cost more.
