Motorcycle Repair: honda 550f, gas tank, fuel tank

Hi... I can't seem to locate a petcock/valve to drain the gas tank.. also how does
it come off? Lastly.. bike sat in a garage for a year, does that mean i should redo
the carbs as well? thx

Unscrew the bowl off the petcock you should find two screws inside.  Normally, a year of sitting means a carb cleaning but it depends on if you put any stabilizer in the fuel tank before parking it. It's worth trying to start it and find out.
