Motorcycle Repair: Front Brake/Tail light trouble, honda cb175, switchboard

Question
I have a 1973 Honda CB175 and am having trouble engaging the tail light when
I use my front brake. I notice that there are 2 wires (a ground and lead) going
into the switchboard near the brake lever, and that when i close the connection
between the two the tail light lights up, however I can't seem to figure out how
to set it up so it only lights up when I engage the front brake. Any help?

Answer
I belive your question is about the micro switch located on the front brake.  The brake light system is design to light when either the front or rear brake is applied.  If the light works when you bypass the switch on the handle bar then you already know where the problem is.  I would replace the switch and be "brake happy"!
