Motorcycle Repair: CM400A wont start, gravity feed, kick starter

Question
I have just purchased my first bike from a guy I work with.  It is an 81 Honda CM400A.  When I looked at it and bought it, he started it with the kick start and drove it.  He drove it onto the trailer I hauled it home on.  When I got the bike home, I tried to kick start it and it would not start.  I bought a new battery, filled and charged it, still will not start.  I pulled the gas line from the carb and hooked it to a gas can and it doesn't seem to be pulling gas thru the line.  Any ideas?

Answer
You might want to check the kill switch on the handle bars. Those often get bumped to the off position.  The carbs don't pull gas out of the tank.  Those are gravity feed carbs and gas flows out of the tank into the carbs by gravity. It can't be to serious or it wouldn't have started with the kick starter.

If that doesn't fix it let me know and I'll give you a couple of other things to look for.
