Motorcycle Repair: cb400 rear tire removal, propane heat, honda motorcycle

any help would be greatly appreciated! so i am restoring a 1977 cb400.  i am in the breakdown stage and i am having trouble removing the rear tire.  i have removed the chain. i have removed the axle nut.  but i am having trouble with the adjustment bracket.  i must include that this bike is not working and has been basically sitting for 20 yrs.  rust is an issue.  how can i get this tire off?

You can swing the chain adjusters down, behind the end of the swing arm, remove the stopper and then slide the whole wheel assembly out the back of the bike, after you have disconnected the rear brake rod and brake stay.

Otherwise, you have to drive the axle out of the wheel assembly. It may be rusted in place, so start spraying some penetrating oil at every junction where you can get it and drive the end of the axle with a brass drift and big hammer. The axle could be rusted into the spacer on the outside or the inside the bearings. You may even need some propane heat in some situations to help get the parts.. apart.
