Motorcycle Repair: primary oil change, sportster ironhead, screw hole

how much oil do i put in the primary for an 85 sportster ironhead

Answer
Looking at the bottom of the primary cover, close to the center,  you will see a screw. remove it. With the bike sitting upright, pour oil into the primary just until it starts to drip out the screw hole and you are set. takes roughly about a quart
