Motorcycle Repair: 1986 Suzuki Intruder VS750, suzuki intruder, us bikes

Question
Hi:

I recently purchased an 86' Intruder VS750 with a vin number indicating it is from the UK.  My question is the speedometer is in kilometers and there are two indicator lights on the lower part of the speedo, one is amber - for the turn signal indicator,  the other is red - the word or words written above the light is in Japanese.  I can't figure out what this light is for.  It flashes at about 88-90 kilometeres.  The speed is consistent - maybe coincidental though.  there are separate indicator lights for the oil, temp, neutral, and high beam.  I have called several dealers in the area - none have a mechanic with enough gray hair to know anything about an 86' especially from the UK.  Maybe it was imported from Canada ?  all of the US bikes had just one light - for the turn signal indicator.  Thanks for any help in this - regards,  Gene

Answer
Gene,

the only thing these bikes
had extra was a sidestand light.
Other than that I would be guessing,
low fuel light or high rpm/shift light?

If you send me the wire colors I might
be able to figure it out.
Are they orange and green/white?
That is the side stand light wire colors.
