QUESTION: Im a little cramped for space on a bigger battery.I found a few small ones with about 220cca but they are expensive so im not buying one untill i hear 220cca is enough.or ill HAVE TO go to a larger size. Thanks for your help and be safe.

Answer
If your bike way totally kickstart before, you have to change out the battery box and go to the bigger battey in order to have enough juice to start it. When harley made the sportster there was one that was totally kick and one with a starter. the one with the starter had a little different oil tank, bigger battery box and a bigger battery to turn it over. I dont have any reference to what the cca is for a stock battery, but I can give you the part number and you can check with a battery company to see what it should be. the part number is 66006-65A
