Motorcycle Repair: crane hi 4 and low oil pressure, low oil pressure, crane hi

this is killin me. installed crane hi 4 single fire. got tdc, cant see timing mark(35 deg) through port to set timing using clear plug. bike also loses oil pressure when it gets hot(mech gauge) even if i rev it up it stays at zero sometimes. bike is 86 1100 sportster. scared to break motor. oil line restriction? low oil light doesnt come on.

If the oil light doesnt come on, you might not be losing oil pressure. try another gage.
On the timing, the clear plug is really the only way you can time it. I use a computer in my shop, but I dont  think you want to go to that expense
