Motorcycle Repair: dirt bike, air leaks, dirt bike


Question
I have a 100cc japenese brand dirt bike. i just put the carboratore on it but every time i start it i have to control how wide open the throttle is with the choke. i have no throttle control at all.
Im sorry but i dont know the year and model.

David,

the carb has a throttle slide that goes in the top,
it has a slot in it and there is a pin
inside the carb that it lines up with.

Make sure the slide goes in with the
pin lined up with the slot in the slide.
Then reach in the back of the carb
and check if the slide is going up
and down when you turn the throttle.
It might also have a faulty or sticky cable.

Make sure the carb is attached tightly
so no air leaks in around it.

Check that the idle screw is not
turned in too far.
