Motorcycle Repair: timing marks, point gap, honda 125

Question
Waht are the timing marks for a 1977 Honda 125?

Answer
J,

are you asking about ignition timing or
valve timing marks?

Honda uses an "F" mark to indicate ignition
timing and a "T" mark for setting valve
timing. The marks are on the flywheel
or rotor under the left engine cover.
They align with a mark or pointer on the engine case.

Ignition point gap is .014" Points should just
break open as the "F" mark aligns
with engine turning anti-clockwise.

With valve timing there is also a mark
on the camshaft sprocket which points up
toward the top center of the head when installing
the camshaft with the "T" mark aligned.
