Motorcycle Repair: battery location, yamaha venture royal, battery cells

i just purchased a 1986 yamaha venture royal motorcycle and i dont have a manual and my battery is dead and i do not know how to find the battery could you please help me thanks

the battery is under the fake fuel tank
cover. You have to lift the fuel
cover and remove the screw that secures
the tank cover. The cover then pushes
ahead and lifts up revealing the battery.

The rubber strap holds it in and
you have to move the fuses out
of the way. There is a battery fluid
indicator wire in one of the battery cells
to be disconnected on removal of the battery.
