Motorcycle Repair: bike wont start, battery cables, starter relay


Question
i have a 600rr and i cant get it to start its a new starter so i doubt thats the problem. it works when it is pushed started but not at a stop. i turn the key and it powers up but then i try to start it and i hear a clicking noice under the seat i believe and the power goes out and comes back on. if you can please help

Is this a Honda RR?
What year is it?
It makes a big difference in the wiring
etc.

it is probably your
starter relay that is faulty.
It is under the seat near the battery.
Check for power going to the
starter motor when the relay clicks.
If it kicks off and on it may need
replacement.
The yellow/red wire on the relay should
have power when you try starting the bike.

Check for loose battery cables and
fuses.
