Motorcycle Repair: idle setting 1999 Elctro Glide Classic, torx screw, positive cable

I have a 1999 Electro Glide fuel injected Harley & I think The idle is set too high. How do I adjust it, and what should it be set at in RPMs?

It should be set at 900-1000 RPM.
To set it remove the air cleaner and on the back plate you will see a hole on the right side. Inside there is a torx screw to set the idle. Start the bike and go for a ride to get it good and warm. When you return adjust the idle. Once you hae that set, remove the positive cable for about 15 minutes. this will reset the ECM. Attach the battery cable and install everything and you should be good to go
