QUESTION: Yes there is a spark

ANSWER: I would start by doing a OHms test on the coil to make sure its good. Do it when its cold and then hot. You can heat it in the oven to do the hot test.
Next I would check the carb. You might have a plugged jet or a sticking float.
Last, the ignition might be bad. It might be failing when hot.
Good luck and happy riding

QUESTION: how do I do the ohms test?  also what should the oil pressure be when running?  thanks again

Answer
The positive side of the coil, where the two 12 wires attach, you should show around3 OHMs. On the other side, where the plug wires attach, you should show around 20,000 OHMs. Both should be about the same hot or cold.
