Motorcycle Repair: 72 sporty, dual fire, xlch

i just got a xlch 72 sporty w/s&s super B not sure what size jet with new plugs and a shot of ethier she'll start sounds strong till i try to take it down the street starts popping back fireing flames out the exaust.plugs turn black running too rich usually the first couple kicks flames shoot from the carb .. im getting a dyna dual fire ingnitioin new coil  and wires. ive been told maybe my carb is too big??  what do you think  also what kind or year of starter would work ?? thanks.......

Your super B carb is fine for your bike. It might not be the carb, but the coil which is causing the problem. If the coil is weak it will foul plugs, so dont worry about the carb since you are changing the ignition system anyway.
In order the put a starter on you bike, if its never had one, you have to buy a starter kit for it. V-Twin Manufacturing make one.
