Motorcycle Repair: banshee locked kick starter, raptor 660, wont kick

i recently traded my raptor 660 off for a 93 banshee highly modded the owner said it sat for like 2 years in a shed he told me it started before we traded off i tryed to kick it in the garage today and it just got stuck when the kick starter came back up it wont kick no more its like its locked up what can i do to try and solve the problem please help

The first thing I would do is verify the problem. Is the "locked up" problem the kick starter or an engine problem?? Have you tried to turn the engine over by hand via the bolt holding down the flywheel. Pop off the magneto side cover and try to do that first. If you need to know how to do this I can explain in more detail to you. If not, do this first. DO NOT TRY TO PUSH START THE QUAD!! If there is an internal engine problem like a broken ring or crank you will only do more damage by forcing the engine.
