Motorcycle Repair: Stator Check, dc volts, stator

I've read your post and talked to Harley Techs and they informed me that if you get a short/grounded on both pins during the Stator OHMS check that the Stator is bad. Took 2003 FXDL to Rocket Harley and they informed me that the stator was ok. I'm Confused what is the proper check for the stator? Thanks..

Pin to pin on the stator you should show OHMs. Single pin to ground should show no OHMs. Do this to both. You should then do a voltage test witht he bike running. At 2000 RPM you should get around 60 AC (not DC) volts
