Motorcycle Repair: fuel, kawasaki voyager, fuel mileage

have a 07 electric glide classic fuel mileage sucks. Added a stage 1 kit still the same. I do no better than 40 HW/ 34 city. Any ideas  Would a FP help?

this machine will actually decrease in milage the more work you do to it...what you are getting is about average for that machine....HD's definately were NOT desighned for fuel economy....Sorry..In fact thats what i get with my Kawasaki voyager as well...maybe not even that good...
