Motorcycle Repair: baskect case, old harleys, shovel head

My brother has this tired old amf shovel head or iron head some people have called it. Gave us hell when we took it to Sturgis, we spent a lot of time working on it. when we gone home he broke it down, way down, and there it sits, for like two years. Any hope for this thing? What does it take to make one of these things sound $$$?

I am going to  assume that its a iron head sportster. There is always hope for old harleys. I work on them all the time. You never siad what happened to the bike when it broke down, but if the motor needs rebuilt I can help with that. If you would like to give me a call we can discuss the problem.
