Motorcycle Repair: 93 Suzuki Intruder 800, suzuki intruder 800, clutch friction

Question
I have a '93 Suzuki Intruder 800. Can you give me any information on where to adjust the clutch and what the proper settings are? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Answer
Benji,

the clutch has no adjustment, it is a hydraulic
type with a master cylinder and slave cylinder.
If you have problems, it could be fluid leaks
or air in the lines or faulty clutch discs
or weak clutch springs. The air is bled
by opening the bleed screw on the slave
cylinder on the engine, pulling the clutch
lever in and then retighten the bleed screw
before releasing the lever. The fluid
has to be topped up in the master cylinder
as well. A slipping clutch is likely the clutch
friction discs worn out.
