Motorcycle Repair: 1980 Goldwing 1100 Interstate, cylinder head bolts, goldwing 1100

Question
six cylinder head bolts, two are long.  Do they go in the top right and top left of block?  Father in Law to it apart and can't remember.  Plus, need to know the sequence of tightening the bolts, if there is one, and their torques

Answer
Rob,

yes, the long bolts go in the top outside
holes on the head. The six 10mm bolts are
torqued 38-40 ft-lbs
The smaller 6 mm bolt at 8 ft-lbs.

Use some moly grease on the threads and bolt head.
-Start tightening in the center bottom and go
across to the top center bolt,
then diagonally down to left bottom,
up to right top, down to bottom right,
and then diagonally to top left bolt.
Then do the little bolt only 8 ft-lbs though.
