Motorcycle Repair: rocker box gasket leaking EVO 1999, correct torque, rubber gaskets

Question
I have a 1999 evo 1340 with a leaking rocker box gasket on the rear cyl. Should both cyl be done? what is the correct torque? and sequence of events in doing this job? The shop wants 300.00 for the job!!  Help me save some money. I am mechanically inclined, I just dont want to screw my bike up.  Thanks in advance.

Answer
If it were me I would do both.
Start by removing the top cover, middle cover and lower cover and replace the gaskets on the lower cover. Just tighten the bolts up snuggly and work your way up to the top cover while replacing the rubber gaskets.
Good luck and happy riding
