Motorcycle Repair: 99 katana neutral switch, shift lever, linkage

I changed the neutral switch on my Katana. Now it only shift from neutral and second only. Before that all was working fine. Please help.

Herve, let's see.... you ask MrHonda about a "Katana" question. Any particular version?  600 or 750? I went on BikeBandit site and looked around and they didn't even mention the neutral switch.

I see that there is remote linkage setup, so I would have to guess that the shift lever or linkage is binding or positioned off a spline, causing interference of the linkage due to a change in the angles of the link arms.

Look at the linkage arms and see if they are hitting the footpeg or frame somewhere, before they can select the next gears.
