Motorcycle Repair: proper adjustment of 1960 pan foot clutch, suicide shifter, foot clutch, suicide shifter

Question
sir, have a '60 pan, open belt primary, suicide foot clutch is
too tight, releases in the last inch of travel.
.
How do I adjust properly?

Also, brought from sealevel to 5000 ft,  and seems too rich.
S&S carb.   Will it be required to re-jet?

thanks much

Answer
First, engage the clutch (toe down). Remove the clutch cover and loosen the locknut. Adjust he screw so you have about 1/8 inch freeplay before the clutch disingages.
On the carb, if your plugs age black and getting fouled then you are running to rich
Good luck and happy riding
