Motorcycle Repair: 1985 Honda 110 ATC 3 Wheeler, desired tension, honda 110

Question
I don't have an owners manual for the ATC I just bought, and am wondering how
to tighten the drive chain?
Thanks,
Curt in Oregon

Answer
Curt,
the rear bearing carrier is used to adjust the
chain tension. On the left side at the bottom of the frame, behind the chain guard is a tensioner unit, you have to remove the small bolt and adjust it upwards to obtain the desired tension and then tap it back into place and put the 6mm retainer bolt back in. It is not the easiest
chain adjust to do. Don't overtighten, it is hard
on the drive line. 3/4" slack is okay.
