Motorcycle Repair: 2000 HD 883 Sportster rear Brake pad replacement, xlh sportster, bob jack

Hi Mike, need to replace the rear brake pads on my 2000 XLH Sportster 883. What is the procedure...thanks in advance...Bob

Jack up the bike and remove the axle. Slide the caliber out and with a pry bar, open the pads gently so you have space between them. remove the pins that hold the pads and install the new ones. Put eh caliber back in as well as the axle. Pump the brake pedel to move the pads back closed and your good to go.
