Hi Wayne,

I am having a problem with one exhaust pipe has an 'unburnt gas odor' and gas residue, also lack of horse power in the higher gears.  This is for a 2001 Suxuki VZ800 Dual Carb bike.

Hi Travis,

(I added an update below just in case)

start with checking the compression and see if the
cylinders are comparable. The main jet is largely
responsible for high speed running but it sounds
like it has enough gas. Check the spark plugs,
see if they are dry or wet. It must be misfiring
or maybe the carb is flooding that cylinder,
check the float valve and float level
and make sure main jet is tight.
Lastly, you could try switching ignition coils
and see if anything changes.
