Motorcycle Repair: exhaust baffles, suzuki marauder 800, hot check

i have a 99 suzuki marauder 800 that has 23000 miles.  first question is when i got the bike a few months ago the radiator had a whole in it and i can not keep coolant in it but keep riding it and it does not run hot check on getting a new or used one but they are to pricey     second question friends keep trying to get me to cut out the baffles if i do this will i need to adjust the carbs any if yes how

Hi Farley,

A:  Yes. The air-fuel mixtures will need to be adjusted to try and compensate for the damage done to the exhaust.

The processes of carburetor tuning is too difficult to explain here. Find books and articles on the subject by internet search.
